Do you offer free consultations?

There is no requirement to schedule an appointment, and we do provide free consultations for all of the services.

You may get to know the hairstylist during a free consultation, which will help you choose if this is the perfect salon for you.

Will my colour fade quickly?

It is common for colours to fade, especially if they have been put to pre-lightened hair (hair that has already been bleached lighter) or if the hair has been in the sunlight for an extended period of time. In such circumstances, colours need to be refreshed every two weeks and will get longer-lasting with time. Additionally, if you wash your hair once or twice a week as opposed to every day, the colour will last longer. It is important to wear a sun hat or cap to keep your hair protected. To prolong the life of your colour, use shampoos and conditioners free of sodium chloride and sulphates.

 

How experienced are your stylists?

At least ten years of experience and a fairly similar skill level are shared by all of the stylists at guy & beard.
The salon does not employ trainees. You will remain with the same stylist the entire time.

What can I do if I do not like my hair?

When it comes to hair everything can be fixed. In most cases, cuts and colours can easily be adjusted.
The original stylist would be the best person to correct their own work.
Please feel free to contact us and book another appointment within 2 weeks and this is usually at no extra charge.

Does Guy & Beard accept contactless payments?

Yes, we do. We can accept payment from contactless cards or contactless devices like smartphones. We can also accept payments by chip and pin or cash.

I'll be coming to get my hair done during my lunch break. Will the stylist mind if I answer my phone or if I work on my laptop?

Working on a gadget, such as a tablet, phone, or laptop, will benefit you and is not at all problematic.
It's entirely acceptable to answer the phone while the hair stylist is doing your hair if you are waiting for a crucial call. However, since the actual phone can get in the stylist's way, we would appreciate it if you could keep each call to a few minutes. Please be aware that even when using earphones, the phone may still be in the way or sustain damage accidently.

Can I get a free fringe trim at Guy & Beard ?

This is available free to all of our registered customers. No appointments are set up for a fringe trim. Instead, you are welcome to drop by whenever the salon is open. Please keep in mind that this is dependent on availability, so if there isn't a hairstylist available right away, you might have to wait a little while. Please be aware that the only purpose of this free service is to reshape an existing fringe. There is a £5 fee for a fringe trim if you are a new customer to Guy & Beard.

 

Must I book a hair appointment many weeks in advance?

You can call us at 0123 456789 to inquire about last-minute appointments or go to our home page to schedule one online. Please schedule your hair appointment at least two to three weeks in advance to minimise disappointment.

If I arrive beyond my scheduled time, will I still be able to get my hair done?

Please notify us as soon as you can if you anticipate being late for your hair appointment. Later on that day, we might be able to accommodate you. The stylist's level of activity may influence this. If your regular stylist is unable to do your hair. We might advise finding another stylist to do your hair. Sometimes it could be essential to change the date of your hair appointment.

 

What time does your hair salon open?

Our regular business hours are as follows.
Mon-Fri 10:00 am–8:00 pm
Sat., 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
SUN 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Some of the stylists have work schedules that are significantly different from the salon's regular hours of operation.

Does your salon stay open late on any night?

Previously, we stayed open late on Thursdays, but we no longer do so.

Is it OK to come to the salon with dirty hair since it's going to get washed anyway?

Turning up with dirty hair is fine. However, if you haven't washed your hair for two or more weeks or if it is starting to have an odour then we would ask you to please wash it before coming to the salon.

I have coloured my hair black but would now like to go blond. Can you do this for me?

It can also depend on the condition of the hair. Something as dramatic as going from black to blond may not be possible in just one session as we would need to protect the hair and keep it healthy. Sometimes it may not be possible to do at all. Consultations are always free if you would like some advice regarding this. Often this would be classed a "colour correction" and prices can start from £20

Does the salon have parking?

The closest parking lots to the Guy & Beard Salons are listed on the location page at https://www.guyandbeard.co.uk/locations/. This hair salon does not have its own parking, however there are parking lots nearby.
